As you may be aware an application for rezoning has been made for the properties at 84 Weybourne, 51 & 49 Lawrence Avenue.
The current proposal contemplates 22 units in 2 buildings buildings set parallel to Lawrence Avenue. They are connected by a sky bridge on the west end and an underground parking garage exiting on Weybourne Avenue (click to see the full set of plans).
The review process for this application is underway by City planning staff who will then report with recommendations and hold a community consultation meeting. Notice of the meeting would be given to those who live within a 120m radius of the subject properties and the relevant Ratepayers’ associations.
There are no developments of this scale or format on Lawrence Avenue, east of Yonge and certainly none of its ilk encroaching into Lawrence Park, however, if this rezoning is approved, additional similar developments may be proposed in the future

Writing to Mr. Matthew will get you on the list of interested parties so that you will be invited to the community consultation. It is important to maximize the number of residents who are aware of and attend the meeting.
The enclosed plans dated May 1, 2015 have been submitted by the developer to the City.
